Think about it

What are the differences between you and these women? Take a second to think about the differences you all have while I continue. The most obvious difference you have with the Kardashian sisters, Gabrielle Union, Beyonce, Lucy Liu, and Rachel McAdams is that they are all famous, hair color, hairstyle, age, ethnicity, eye color may or may not be the same as yours but you get my point. Other than the differences I pointed out and other physical appearances that are different you and these famous women have a good bit in common. You and these famous women are both females, like to look decent, stylish, and presentable, every month you go through a little pain, and most importantly you all are beautiful. That's the main point of this post, you are beautiful! Of course when you see these women on TV and on billboards and you admire them and look up to them as role models and you may even want to be like, look, and live just like them. Of course it's only natural and it's not wrong to like Beyonce's hair or to want Rachel McAdams outfit but be true to yourself. You are beautiful inside out.

What do your clothes say about you?

Hey, today's topic is clothing and everything related.

First, I want to mention that it is okay to show you're personality in your clothing. It's better to be yourself than to be uncomfortable being someone else.

Second, I want to mention that what you wear to school, mall, church, anywhere public is very important because people out there first judge you by the clothes you wear before you open up your mouth to speak to them.

Third, I want to mention that just because you can't afford the big name labels doesn't mean you can't dress cute and it be affordable for you (and your parents) wallets and purses.

Fourth, I want to just suggest some possible outfit choices for different occassions and public places (pictures provided).

I assume who ever is reading this is between the ages of at least 11 - 18 and everyone has their own personal style. For example, me, my style isn't in any specific column like bohemian or punk rock, my style changes everyday with my mood. I wear what I like to wear, whether it matches or not, it's my personality and clothes are one of the ways that I showcase my personality. There are a lot of trendy clothing stores in the malls these days that just make you want to imitate what you see on the mannequins. Honestly, there is really nothing wrong with getting inspired by a mannequins outfit or even copying what the mannequin has on. I knew a lot of girls in middle school actually who would wear certain things like high heels just because their group of friends were wearing them and in order to fit in, they wore them too, as uncomfortable as they were. During these ages, I have noticed a lot of teenagers that try to dress "sexy". Why do you need to be sexy at 14 years old? "Sexy" means to have sex appeal. Again I ask what is the point in being "sexy" when you are going to middle school or high school to get your education. I know at this ages some of you ( or you friends) start liking boys, begin to flirt, begin to point out who is cute or not but you can dress cute and still look appropriate.

Sorry, unfortunately I have not finished this up, but I will be back, I promise to finish... hopefully by the end of this week. I am super duper busy this week but I really want to finish this up.

Until then, talk to you later. Have a good Monday!

Welcome :)

Hey you! Welcome to the Healthy Girl S.W.A.G blog. My name is Atarah and I am the mastermind behind this blog. I came up with this blog because I wanted to let you and every girl from age 13 - 18 that if you don't think someone understands what you are going through, I understand what you are going through. On this blog you will find information about how to have a healthy lifestyle. When I say healthy, I don't just mean body weight. I mean your entire life. I want to focus on your mental health, physical health, and emotional health. I am not a doctor so if you do have any immediate physical problems that need to be seen by a doctor or physician please let your parent(s) or guardian(s) know. If you have any questions about anything you see on this blog please feel free to write a comment or email me.

A little about me:
My name is Atarah and I am currently a full-time college junior majoring in Psychology at the University of West Georgia. I do not have a job because my full-time is school. College requires a lot of discipline and good study habits in order to succeed. I love movies, art, photography, food, clothes, shoes, and writing poetry. I love to listen and give advice. I have recently noticed a lot of young females being influenced by their friends and the media and not being able to think on their own and that needs to change. This is my personal way to reach out to any young girl that feels lost, misunderstood, lonely, ugly, fat, worthless, confused and much more.
